The contact number for MTN is: 763-571-1541

    Application for Student Transportation Reimbursement

Eagle Ridge Academy partners with a private transportation company, MTN to provide transportation to and from school. Fourteen routes service the metro area. Routes are established in a hub system with centralized locations along the routes for convenient pick up and drop off.

The Academy currently charges a transportation fee of $200.00 per student with a family cap of $600.00 per academic year. Students transporting from the Hopkins school district are exempt from the transportation fee.

A signed transportation contract along with payment must be on file prior to your student riding the bus.

Eagle Ridge Academy Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedure | 2017-18

When picking up, parents will have two options of how to receive students: curbside pick-up or park and pick-up. Read below to see how the process for each option will work. There is also a map on the back of this sheet to explain the process. Please note that the process is different for students in grades K-3 and in grades 4-12. K-3 students will have carpool numbers. 4-12 students will not.

    K-3 Students

    A.M. Drop-Off:

    1. Enter the ERA parking lot by driving straight through the west entrance off of Bren Road West (marked on map).
    2. Drive forward to enter the curbside drop-off lane (right lane) and pull to the curb letting your student out. Please move ahead as far as possible to fill in gaps in this lane. Students will only be allowed to exit cars in this lane, not the passing lane (left lane).
    3. Once you have dropped off your student, exit the parking lot by merging to the passing lane (left lane) and following signals out of the parking lot.

    P.M. Pick-Up:

    1. Enter the ERA parking lot by driving straight through the west entrance off of Bren Road West (marked on map).
    2. Drive forward to enter the curbside pick-up lane (same as drop-off) and pull to the curb waiting for your student (we will have called your number by the time you get to the curb). Please move ahead as far as possible to fill in gaps in this lane.
    3. Once you’ve retrieved your student, pull into the bypass lane (left) and exit the parking lot.

    4-12 Students

    A.M. Drop-Off:

    P.M. Pick-Up:

    1. Enter the ERA parking lot through any entrance.
    2. Park in the designated “Parent-Parking” spaces (see map). Your student is then able to walk out to your car using the crosswalks in the parking lot.
    3. Once you have retrieved your student, exit the parking lot.

“Purple Tags” are the system Eagle Ridge Academy uses to handle changes in daily transportation for School of Grammar students (K-5).

If a child normally rides the bus, but their parent decides that they would like to pick up their child in car pool and NOT have them ride the bus home for that day, they must notify the office through the Purple Tag system.

    Purple Tag Steps

Note: These steps must be completed the day of the transportation change before 12:00 p.m.! Requests received after 12:00 p.m. cannot be fulfilled, and so parents will need to pick up children from their normal bus stop. Transportation changes can only be made for the current day, not for future dates.

    1. Before 12:00 pm the day of the change, call Julie Twetan at 952-746-7760 ext. 1101 to request the change
      1. If leaving a voice message, please let her know the child’s name and grade, and that the child will be switching to carpool for the day.

    OR

    1. Before 12:00 pm the day of the change, email Julie Twetan at jtwetan@eagleridgeacademy.org to request the change
      1. In the email, please let her know the child’s name and grade, and that the child will be switching to carpool for the day.

If you have further questions regarding the Purple Tag process, please email Julie Twetan at jtwetan@eagleridgeacademy.org.
