The Eagle Eye: 1/18/2024

Happy Thursday! The first Eagle Eye of 2024 is now available. The Eagle Eye is Eagle Ridge Academy’s translatable community newsletter that is published every other Thursday during the school year. It is a great resource to see important updates and learn what is happening around the school. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find in this week’s Eagle Eye:

  • Eagle Ridge Academy Board of Directors Issuing Call for 2024 Election Nominations. One teacher seat and two parent/community member seats (one of which MUST be a community member) are open for the 2024 Board of Directors election. The deadline for all nominations is Friday, February 2, by 4:00 p.m. Learn more about the election and nominate yourself or someone else inside the issue.
  • Latest Issue of The Link Alumni Newsletter Now Available. The Link is a quarterly alumni newsletter meant to help Eagle Ridge Academy alumni get and stay connected with fellow alumni and the Eagle Ridge Academy community. The latest issue’s Spotlight on Alumni focuses on Fiona Kaster (formerly Herbert) ’17 as she fills us in on her post-ERA journey of balancing science and creativity. Read about Fiona and more alumni news inside the issue.
  • Congratulations to Eighth Grader Sreshna for Being Named the 2023-24 Minnesota Patriot’s Pen Youth Essay Contest Winner. The Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) hold the Patriot’s Pen youth essay contest annually to encourage young minds to examine America’s history, along with their own experiences in modern American society. Sreshna’s essay, answering the question How Are You Inspired by America?, took first place in the state! Learn more about the contest inside the issue.

Read on for more and have a wonderful long weekend, Gryphons!
