The art department and a handful of juniors and seniors see to the loading of a circular “pit” with a brick wall, in the parking lot by door 5. The pit is loaded with ceramics works and smothered with combustibles that we heat in a fire to obtain interesting colors and markings. The school is invited to watch the lighting and its initial burning. It is intended also as a community-building event during homecoming week.
Where: Eagle Ridge Academy
Students will set up the pit fire throughout the day, and the fire will be lit at 2:30 p.m.
