Schneider/Linehan/Dueffert kindergarten classes will take a field trip to Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard on Tuesday, September 26, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Mills/Woolf/Vargas kindergarten classes will take a field trip to Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard on Wednesday, September 27, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Students will explore the rows of apple trees, visit three different areas of the farm to learn about the life cycle of an apple tree and how it grows from the ground and then winds up at the grocery store. They will also learn the most common varieties of apples grown in Minnesota. Each student will get to pick their very own apple and complete an activity book. After the lesson, students will enjoy a hayride through the apple orchard followed by play time.
