Eagle Ridge Academy is proud of the Class of 2026 for all that they have accomplished and who they have become during their time at ERA. In whatever ERA’s newest class of alumni sets out to do, the foundation they have built with the values of truth, beauty, and goodness will serve them well. 👏

As a reminder, there is no school and the office will be closed tomorrow, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. School will resume on Tuesday, May 26.
This past Veterans Day, Ms. Harris’ fourth grade class and Ms. Stewart’s second grade class teamed up to write letters of gratitude and draw pictures for soldiers. At the time, the father of Leela and Kiaan, siblings in these two classes, was deployed overseas with the Minnesota Air National Guard 133rd Airlift Wing. This May, we were to able to welcome their father, Major Krishnan Subrahmanian, into the classroom to thank the classes in person and share more about his role in the Air National Guard!
This Memorial Day, let us pause to honor and remember the brave citizens who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are forever grateful for their courage and commitment. #GoGryphons
Happy Memorial Day weekend! Whatever you're doing over the holiday break, we hope you're having as much fun as the families and members of the community who bounced into Eagle Ridge Academy of Brooklyn Center last weekend! 🤸 Dozens joined us for a morning of jumping, connection, and fun. Stay tuned for more exciting community events at Eagle Ridge Academy of Brooklyn Center this summer. ☀️ As a reminder, there is no school and the office will be closed Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day. #GoGryphons
Following certificates, scholars recited the poem “Bag of Tools” by R.L. Sharpe and sang the songs "O Danny Boy" and "Irish Blessing," accompanied by Mr. Allen. Students and families were then invited to join us in the courtyard for a cupcake celebration.
"We are so proud of each of you, not just for what you know, but for the honorable character you have shown and the joy you have brought to our community this year," shared Principal Molnar during the ceremony. Congratulations, fourth graders! #GoGryphons
Eighth graders voted for History Teacher Mr. Sundermeyer to give a speech as well. In his address, Mr. Sundermeyer reassured our scholars that "through this resource of time, you are GOING to figure this out."
Thank you to our soon-to-be ninth graders for making this school year so special. You will be missed in the School of Logic, but we're excited to see what you accomplish in the School of Rhetoric! Thank you as well to the families for supporting your students not just today, but all year. We are honored to partner with you.
After school, eighth graders with permission slips are invited to stay, socialize, play games, and celebrate. Thank you to the ERA PTO and Karen Oglesby for planning this special event to mark the achievement of our School Logic students! #GoGryphons
Capstones concluded this afternoon after three full days of presentations. This is a huge accomplishment, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard and diligent work (and our incredible Humanities teachers!). Only six more school days until commencement! #GoGryphons
There are just ten more days of school left for our seniors, and three of those days will be Senior Capstone presentation days. Enjoy the beautiful day outside today, Class of 2026, so you can spend the weekend preparing to wow us all with your Capstones! #GoGryphons
The Battle of the Books is a voluntary, extracurricular reading incentive program in which students in grades 3-5 work in teams to read a list of books and then compete against other teams by testing their knowledge of the books they have read. The competition is formatted similarly a game show, with lots of quick, trivia-style questions about the books. The main benefits of the program are that it gets children engaged with a variety of great literature, fosters a love of reading, and promotes a spirit of healthy competition.
Congratulations, book battlers! Thank you to Friends of Education, Mrs. Tillotson for coordinating the competition, and to our parent volunteers for assisting with each round. Eagle Ridge Academy will host next year's competition! #GoGryphons

We also asked parents and students to submit notes of thanks and received so many touching words. These notes will be shared with teachers next week to keep the gratitude going! Below are some highlights that say so much about the incredible teachers we have at Eagle Ridge Academy.
"It takes a village to raise a child and you and other great staff at Eagle Ridge truly provided her with a place of comfort, safety, and belonging."
"We appreciate you advocating for your scholars and being an extension of the family unit when it comes to education and personal growth. "
"We deeply appreciate the engaging, creative, and thoughtful way in which concepts are taught. Thank you for fostering such a meaningful and lasting connection to language and storytelling."
"Your strong knowledge across subjects, engaging teaching style, and excellent communication make a meaningful difference every day. Beyond academics, we truly appreciate how you support the children’s personality development, provide emotional care, and create a classroom environment filled with joy and fun. Your ability to genuinely connect with the kids and make learning enjoyable speaks volumes about your dedication and heart."
"Your patience, kindness, and constant support have truly meant so much to our family, especially during times when my daughter felt confused, overwhelmed, and unsure of herself. During those difficult moments, your understanding and encouragement helped guide her in the right direction and gave her the confidence she needed to keep going. Because of you, she has grown into a more confident, happier, and more capable student who is now better able to understand her learning and believe in herself."
Thank you, teachers. 🙌 You make a difference every day, and leave a lasting impact on the children you teach, as well as their families. Enjoy these fun pics from the year! (Community - if you haven't thanked a teacher this week, make sure you do!) #GoGryphons
