During Schools of Logic & Rhetoric Parent Information Night, teachers and administration will share helpful strategies for parents to use with their child to help them succeed in Upper School. 🌟 Brief presentations will be given 5:00-7:00 p.m. and a Q & A will be held 7:00-7:30 p.m. Come connect! #GoGryphons

"I visited with our son last spring and was impressed by the atmosphere and also very intrigued by the Classical education model," shared Mr. Miller on what drew him to Eagle Ridge Academy.
When he's not at school, you can find him spending time with his wife and son at home or doing an outside activity. We are excited that Mr. Miller has joined the Eagle Ridge Academy community! 🎉 #GoGryphons

During the month of September, we are focusing on building community, as we want all our Gryphons to feel like they belong at Eagle Ridge Academy. During workshop week prior to the start of school, Minnetonka faculty and staff built community by choosing and completing a service project together! Everyone was able to choose a project that was meaningful to them and, by working together, so much valuable work was completed in a short time. 🤝
Projects included writing cards for new students and volunteers, picking up trash around the outside of the building, sorting school supplies and books, organizing recess equipment, creating hallway displays, helping our Custodial Manager Juan clean up the school, and more.
Booker T. Washington once said: "Those who are the happiest are those who do the most for others." Thank you, Gryphon team, for your helping hands and smiles! 😀 #GoGryphons

"Having taught first grade grade for a number of years, and really savoring that end-of-the-year student who is becoming independent and self-driven, I am so excited to actually take the journey up where usually I would have had to leave it and just watch from afar," shared Mrs. Gacek.
When she's not at school, you can find her at a concert (anything from Pearl Jam to Noah Kahan), traveling (she only has 3 states left to visit in the US), creating things (baking, crafting, woodworking), and spending time doing any or all of those things with my family, which includes her husband Chris, their twin college-aged daughters Eleanor and Abigail, 3 cats (Bert, Ernie, and Tilly), and 2 chickens (Foxy and Scully). We are excited that Mrs. Gacek has joined the Eagle Ridge Academy community! 🎉 #GoGryphons

Jahnvai's artwork perfectly captures the feeling of watching the sunset at the end of summer. Eagle Ridge Academy is proud of Jahnavi for creating and sharing her art! #GoGryphons

Eagle Ridge Academy of Minnetonka School of Grammar students already had an opportunity to practice Auditorium-etiquette during their beginning-of-the-year assemblies this past Wednesday. Students followed directions from their teachers about entering the Auditorium and finding their place, "showed five" when Assistant Principal Clinger was ready to begin the assembly, "put in their bubbles" to make sure they stayed quiet while someone was speaking, and demonstrated SLANT (sitting up straight, listening, asking and answering questions, nodding their head, and tracking the speaker).
Along with discussing Eagle Ridge Academy's mission, Mr. Clinger asked students what they were excited for this school year. Answers included: "Making new friends while keeping the old", "Getting better at art", "Being a role model for younger grades", and "The last day of school!".
If your child is in the School of Grammar, we encourage you to ask them about the assembly and what Pillars they demonstrated while in the Auditorium. We value your partnership in setting expectations and easing into routines for the school year! #GoGryphons #ClassicalEducation
Gracelyn won two ribbons this year in the K-12 Competition: a second place ribbon in the “three-dimensional projects” category for her puppet titled “Gamma” as well as a fourth place ribbon in the “Diorama” category for her diorama titled “Dog Disasters”.
Gracelyn loved her Greek mythology unit at school so much last year that it inspired her family to spend the summer exploring and learning more about Greek history, culture, and language—which led directly to naming her puppet Gamma (after the third letter of the Greek alphabet). 🏛️
Eagle Ridge Academy is proud of Gracelyn for pursuing beauty and goodness and sharing her creations. Congratulations! #GoGryphons

When she's not at school, you can find her spending time outdoors, going to the gym, doing crafts, and spending time with her fiancé. We are excited that Ms. Clapp has joined the Eagle Ridge Academy community! 🎉 #GoGryphons

Here's to another year of inspiring joy in learning! #ClassicalEducation #GoGryphons
Thumbs up for a great first day of school, School of Grammar Gryphons! 👍 This year is historic as it marks the opening of Eagle Ridge Academy of Brooklyn Center.
It was fulfilling to finally see the classrooms filled at our new school. Thank you to everyone in the Gryphon community for making this moment possible.
"What has been built here did not happen overnight, and it certainly did not happen because of any one person. It is the result of years of hard work, consistency, commitment to our mission, strong relationships, excellent instruction, and the willingness to hold our students and one another to high expectations," shared Chief Executive Officer Jason Ulbrich. "Thank you for your perseverance. Thank you for protecting our culture and mission. Thank you for expecting excellence from our students and from each other. And thank you for building a school worthy of being replicated."
We'll see ALL our gryphons tomorrow when we welcome grades 5-8 and 10-12 into Eagle Ridge Academy of Minnetonka for their first day of school! 🏫 We look forward to a year of engaging even more students in a time-tested, Classical Liberal Arts education that demands their best in academic achievement and honorable character while challenging them to attain their highest potential. #GoGryphons #ClassicalEducation

👋 It's #NewStaffWelcomeWednesday! This week, we're introducing you to Kalli Schmidt, who joined us this month as a Classical Enrichment Specialist. Mrs. Schmidt earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and has spent the past 5 years teaching at Agamim Classical Academy.
"After working for another Classical charter school, I absolutely fell in love with the Classical Teaching Model! Everything I have learned and seen about Eagle Ridge has been so positive and inspiring, and I cannot wait to be able to be a part of this amazing community," shared Mrs. Schmidt.
When she's not at school, you can find her spending time with her husband and cat Thor (fun fact - Thor is a girl!), or preparing for the arrival of her first baby (also a girl!). She also loves taking trips to baseball stadiums, teaching recreational and competitive dance, and reading. We are excited that Mrs. Schmidt has joined the Eagle Ridge Academy community! 🎉 #GoGryphons

We'd like to extend our gratitude to all the wonderful faculty, staff, student ambassadors, and volunteers who helped distribute back-to-school folders, answered questions, directed families, taught students how to open their lockers, and more. 🙌
Let's do it all again tomorrow! Grades K-4 at Eagle Ridge Academy of Minnetonka and grades K-2 at Eagle Ridge Academy of Brooklyn Center may collect their back-to-school folders, meet their teachers, and leave their school supplies in their classrooms Wednesday, August 19, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Please look up your child's teacher on Infinite Campus prior to arriving so you can head directly to their classroom. After logging in to the Parent Portal, choose "Schedule" in the left index and select your child to view their schedule. #GoGryphons
This year is extra special, as our first day of school will also be the start of a new era (literally a new ERA!) - the beginning of Eagle Ridge Academy of Brooklyn Center. 🌱 We can't wait to see our students and families and commence this monumental year of learning!
Grades 5-12 are invited to attend Meet Your Teacher Night tomorrow, August 18. Grades K-4 at Minnetonka and K-2 at Brooklyn Center are invited to attend Meet Your Teacher Night this Wednesday, August 19. Both nights will run 5:00-7:00 p.m. #GoGryphons
At Eagle Ridge Academy, we follow the pursuit of Veritas, Probitas, and Pulchritudo, identifying in Latin the central tenets of our school: Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. Over Spring Break, we asked families how they were pursuing these tenets outside of the classroom. We are sharing the answers to hopefully inspire your family to make a Classical connection this summer! When families and teachers work together, we can inspire a life-long passion for learning. 💙💛💚
School of Grammar Gryphon Yuvin spent his spring break in Orlando, where he appreciated the beauty of the beach and sunshine while also searching out truth by learning about the animals at SeaWorld and Gatorland. #GoGryphons #ClassicalEducation
