👋 It's #NewStaffWelcomeWednesday! This week, we're introducing you to Brogan Maxwell, who will be joining us this August as a Building Substitute. Mr. Maxwell received his Master of Arts in Film and Media from Johns Hopkins University.

"I was drawn by the pedagogy of a Classical liberal arts education. In my own studies, I found that same connection between instilling fundamentals and harnessing optimum outcomes. Diving deeper into Eagle Ridge Academy, I saw strong testing figures, an excellent graduation rate, and a student body truly dedicated to the world of academia, " shared Mr. Maxwell.

When he's not at school, you can find him attending live events like concerts and sporting matchups, or out running and staying active outdoors. We are excited for Mr. Maxwell to join the Eagle Ridge Academy community! 🎉 #GoGryphons

Thank you to the Eagle Ridge Academy PTO for sponsoring a Lemonade War at Eagle Ridge Academy yesterday evening as part of our One School, One Book (OSOB) summer shared reading experience! 🍋

In June, families were invited to read a copy of "The Lemonade War" aloud with their children or listen to chapters read by Eagle Ridge Academy guest readers and were given suggested activities and discussion questions.

To bring the OSOB community together, families hosted their own lemonade stands at Eagle Ridge Academy yesterday evening! Attendees voted for their favorite lemonade and took part in other book- and lemon-related activities.

OSOB builds a community of readers and a sense of belonging within our school. When an entire school reads together, it generates excitement about reading. Thank you for being part of this joyful experience! 💛 #GoGryphons

Can you believe we're already halfway through summer break? We hope you're spending plenty of time learning outdoors during your vacation, or even setting up camp inside like our School of Grammar students did at the end of the year! ⛺

Back in May, the ERA library was transformed into a campground for Camp Read-a-Lot, and students enjoyed reading inside tents with flashlights and a s'more-style snack around the "campfire". Thank you to Mrs. Tillotson and our parent volunteers that made this event so fun! 📚 #GoGryphons

At Eagle Ridge Academy, we follow the pursuit of Veritas, Probitas, and Pulchritudo, identifying in Latin the central tenets of our school: Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. Over Spring Break, we asked families how they were pursuing these tenets outside of the classroom and we are sharing the answers we received to hopefully inspire your family to make a Classical connection this summer! When families and teachers work together, we can inspire a life-long passion for learning. 💙💛💚

Schools of Grammar and Logic scholars Audrey, Elyse, and Brielle experienced the Beauty of the world by going on their first-ever cruise to the Bahamas. Looking out on the vastness of the ocean, seeing the power in the waves, and realizing we are only viewing a tiny piece of it was an unforgettable experience for the family! #GoGryphons #ClassicalEducation

Looking to learn more about our nation's history this Fourth of July week? Follow the lead of our fifth grade scholars and take a trip to Fort Snelling, a former military fortification and National Historic Landmark! On their field trip in May, fifth graders took a guide tour of the fort, experienced the stories of the people who lived in and around the fort, and participated in staff demonstrations. This field trip connects to the fifth grade history units on Westward Expansion, the Civil War, and Exploration. #GoGryphons
