👋 It's #NewStaffWelcomeWednesday! This week, we're introducing you to Erik Miller, who will be joining us this August as our School of Rhetoric Physics Teacher. Mr. Miller earned his bachelor's degree in biology from MN State Mankato and his master's degree in teaching from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

"I was drawn to Eagle Ridge because of its strong reputation and am excited to work in a building with students of all ages, " shared Mr. Miller.

When he's not at school, you can find him sailing, camping, biking, woodworking, playing guitar, and being a proud husband and father of two. We are excited for Mr. Miler to join the Eagle Ridge Academy community! 🎉 #GoGryphons

Eagle Ridge Academy is closed today in recognition of Juneteenth. Juneteenth recognizes the historical pronouncement of the abolition of slavery on June 19, 1865, when the Emancipation Proclamation was said to have been first publicly read in Texas by Union soldiers. School of Grammar Gryphon Harismrithi participated in a traditional performance over Spring Break and saw goodness and beauty while welcoming and celebrating the Tami New Year! Eagle Ridge Academy held its 13th Annual Gryphon Classic Golf Tournament at Edinburgh USA Golf Course on June 15. ⛳ Thank you to our 84 golfers for joining the fun and helping raise money for the students of Eagle Ridge Academy! Proceeds support Eagle Ridge Academy’s CIPHER Scholarship program.

Over Spring Break, 15 School of Rhetoric students travelled to Italy (Capri, Rome, Pompeii, Ostia) and Greece (Athens, Delphi) to experience the Truth, Beauty, and Goodness of their curricula with their own eyes! In the second picture, the group is sitting in front of the Temple of Apollo, where thousands of people from the ancient world travelled to ask the priestess Pythia their most important questions. In order to interpret her response, one needed to “Know Thyself”. #GoGryphons #ClassicalEducation

ONE WEEK AWAY: Eagle Ridge Academy is proud to host its 13th charity golf tournament at Edinburgh USA in Brooklyn Park next Monday, June 15, 12:00-6:30 p.m. The Gryphon Classic Golf Tournament is a four-person scramble, bringing together community to raise important funds for the Academy. Enjoy an afternoon of golf and camaraderie on the course while playing for a good cause! ⛳

School of Grammar Gryphons Olivia and Brooks spent a day at the Westwood Hills Nature Center over Spring Break. While there, they learned the TRUTH about animal adaptations like camouflage, saw the BEAUTY of nature, and displayed GOODNESS of character when taking turns and listening to the naturalists. Thank you to Activities Director Sean McMenomy for transforming student activities at Eagle Ridge Academy! This year, Eagle Ridge Academy Activities not only experienced 28% participation growth, but had a .31 GPA increase and NINE academic State teams! Additionally, $70,000 was raised in funds. We will continue to build excellence in athletics, academics, and community in 2026-27. #GoGryphons

On May 29, the Class of 2026 celebrated their commencement at Calvary Reformed Church. 🎓Speeches were given by Valedictorian Lakshitha Potini, Student Speaker Bhavik Patel, and School of Rhetoric Teacher Talia Fittante. Music was performed by the School of Rhetoric Symphonic Orchestra and the National Anthem was performed by Michael Witkowski. As per ERA tradition, the junior class presented each graduate with a rudis sword, which were traditionally given to gladiators to signify the completion of their training. 🗡️

Eagle Ridge Academy is proud of the Class of 2026 for all that they have accomplished and who they have become during their time at ERA. In whatever ERA’s newest class of alumni sets out to do, the foundation they have built with the values of truth, beauty, and goodness will serve them well. 👏

THANK YOU to all of the incredible volunteers that helped make our School of Grammar end-of-year classroom parties so fun! 🌈 We cannot believe that tomorrow, May 28, is the last day of school for our School of Grammar scholars. The last day of school is a half day, and grades K-4 will be dismissed before lunch at 11:00 a.m. on May 28. If a last day of lunch order form was completed by May 15, a bag lunch will be delivered to your Grammar child's class to take home. As a reminder, students in grades K-4 may wear free dress tomorrow at no cost if they follow the free dress guidelines. Students in grades 5-12 will have a full day of school (1:10 p.m. dismissal) tomorrow. You got this, scholars! ☀️ #GoGryphons
