It's important to us to take the time to celebrate the people who do so much behind the scenes at the Academy. Thank you to the ERA PTO and the ERA Booster Club. Thank you to everyone who helped in classrooms, on field trips, on the grounds, in the library, and everyone in between. Thank you to the Affiliated Building Company Board, the ERA Board of Directors, and the Friends of Education Board. Thank you to ALL Eagle Ridge Academy volunteers for creating a culture of joy and giving at Eagle Ridge Academy.
As Eagle Ridge Academy continues to grow, the need for volunteers has become even more abundant. You can continue to strengthen our school by engaging more families and friends. When families, teachers, staff, students, and our outside community partners give their time and talent, Eagle Ridge Academy culture becomes that much richer. We are grateful for you! #VolunteerERA #Give5 #GoGryphons

School of Rhetoric senior Ananya Murugavel has been announced a State Winner of the Minnesota Aspirations in Computing Awards Program (MnAiC) by the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) and the Minnesota state affiliate! As a State Winner, Ananya has significantly demonstrated interest and aptitude for computing. 💻 Congratulations, Ananya! We are so proud of you.
The Minnesota Aspirations in Computing (MnAiC) program was launched in 2012 to recognize and support high school girls aspiring to achieve college and career success in the technology field. Each year, they honor nearly 100 exceptional students at their spring awards ceremony. These awards celebrate students’ computing achievements, enthusiasm for technology, leadership, community involvement, and resilience. This recognition not only acknowledges student accomplishments, but also fuels their ongoing engagement in STEM, enhances their confidence, and advances diversity in the tech industry. #GoGryphons

Help us give a big #GoGryphons hello to Markell Lucas, who will take over the role of School of Logic Assistant Principal this fall! Mr. Lucas had the opportunity to introduce himself and speak to all staff at the District Meeting yesterday, his first day at the Academy. He will be training with current Assistant Principal Missy Madigan (soon to be Director of Teacher of Learning) for the remainder of the school year.
Mr. Lucas earned his Bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Luther in Decorah, Iowa, and his Master's in Educational Leadership from Concordia University St. Paul. He has worked in schools all around the country, most recently in Denver, Colorado.
"What excites me most about starting this fall is the opportunity to support both students and teachers and to be part of a school culture that values growth, structure, and meaningful learning. I’m especially looking forward to building relationships and helping contribute to a positive and focused environment in the School of Logic." shared Mr. Lucas
When he's not at school, you can find him outdoors, spending time with family, or at the gym. We are proud to have Mr. Lucas as part of our community! If you see him in the hallways this quarter, be sure to stop and say hello.

There might not be school today for our students, but there WILL be school this Thursday, April 9, for our PARENTS! Parents are encouraged to sit in on two of our classes during Classical In-Action Parent Night on Thursday, April 9. From working through mental math strategies to responding in seminars, learning Latin to applying oracy skills, you'll have a front row seat to Classical education. At the end of each session, teachers will share simple ways to extend this learning at home.
Interested parents: please RSVP and rank your top three class choices by the end of TODAY, April 6.
Come for the classes, stay for the PTO-hosted social afterward to reflect with fellow parents on all your learning. We look forward to having you in class! #GoGryphons #ClassicalEducation
