On the Door Tour Day, students from the School of Grammar are paired up with students in the Schools of Logic & Rhetoric to tour the school together. While they tour, buddies choose their favorite doors, complete activities such as a scavenger hunt, and learn from each other. Upper School students tell their Lower School buddies about their favorite subjects, give advice, and answer questions. Upper School students usually come out of the experience with smiles on their faces and a newfound respect for their teachers for navigating the responsibility of teaching while also keeping students on track!
We are fortunate to have the ability to bring different grade levels together to mutually educate and appreciate truth, beauty, and goodness together. This is one of the most joyful days of the year at the Academy. Thank you to all students, teachers, and staff for putting so much effort into your doors and tours! 👨👧🚪 Door Decorating Contest winners will be shared with the community tomorrow. #GoGryphons #ClassicalEducation
We are excited to continue our end-of-year celebrations with our door decorating tours tomorrow and our winter parties on Friday. It's a wonderful week to be a Gryphon! Thank you for spreading joy with us. 😄 #GoGryphons
Thanks to the generosity of our families and the time and energy of the PTO, teachers and staff were gifted a large variety of sweet treats today. We are grateful to the ERA community for your constant support of our hardworking teachers and staff. You make our school community even more special. Thank you! 🍪🍬🍰 #GoGryphons
The Schools of Logic & Rhetoric hold monthly Pillar Assemblies in which six students from each grade level in the Schools of Logic and Rhetoric are recognized for displaying CIPHER throughout the month. Each student is nominated for a Pillar Award by one of their teachers, who writes a short paragraph describing how the student exemplified their pillar, which is shared with the student body.
Congratulations to our School of Logic December Pillar Award recipients! Thank you for demonstrating CIPHER every day and for being role models at Eagle Ridge Academy. #GoGryphons

Welcome back to school, Gryphons! We hope you had a restful holiday. Before the break, the School of Grammar ImpArt Art Clubs celebrated by creating festive art. 🎨 First and second graders enjoyed rolling marbles in black paint, starting their printmaking unit. Third and fourth graders finished their gourd still lifes in black and white line drawing, colored in with color pencils, using different values and chalk for the background. Thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday for the 13th Annual Gala for the Gryphons. ❄️💃🌲 Our incredible community came together and raised nearly $75,000 this year (a Gala for the Gryphons record!) for Eagle Ridge Academy’s CIPHER Scholarship Program! Whether you joined us at the event, participated through the silent auction or sponsorship, donated an in-kind item or service, or donated an outright cash gift, we extend our thanks for pushing us to be better and achieving our goals. The full album of photos taken by ERA parents Hana and Ben Selinske will be shared in December.
We are grateful to Ben Montville (ERA Class of 2024) for being our special guest speaker and reminding us of the importance of an Eagle Ridge Academy education, Itisha Budamagunta (ERA Class of 2031) for inspiring us to lead change, Ritisha Raju (ERA Class of 2030) for entertaining us with her beautiful Carnatic musical performance, Karen Sorbo for coming back to serve as our emcee and auctioneer, Midwest Sound for a hopping dance floor, Robb and Katie Carroll of Event Technical Services for the beautiful lighting, The Jon de Vaal Trio for our Social Hour entertainment, those who sponsored a staff / faculty to attend, our generous table sponsors, Taher, Inc. and Pastry Chef Michelle Gayer for providing the delicious desserts for our Dessert Dash, our Gala Planning team for their dedication, creative planning, and hard work preparing and executing an event of this level, our volunteers who worked hard during the evening to make the experience enjoyable and fun, and everyone who joined us at the event!
If you were unable to attend this year’s Gala, it’s not too late to support students of Eagle Ridge Academy! Your investment now builds the future for our tiniest kindergarteners who will one day be our seniors. Consider a 100% tax-deductible year-end donation here. All gifts matter as we invest in the future of Eagle Ridge Academy. Thank you! #GoGryphons
