Each year, we require formal dress for special events like School Portrait Day, Veteran's Day, and Pillar Assemblies. In anticipation of the required formal dress days later this month, students were invited to "rehearse" a Formal Dress Day today to practice dressing up, get feedback on what is still needed, and still have time to purchase the items that are required.

The Eagle Ridge Academy Parent Teacher Organization is excited to host a special event for School of Logic students at Sky Zone Edina next Tuesday, September 9. Check-in will begin at 6:00 p.m. and jump time will last from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Admission is $20 and includes socks. Sky Zone’s concessions will be open for purchasing snacks at an additional cost. The PTO encourages all grades 5-8 students to join for a evening of fun and friendship to kick off the school year!

The Gryphon Cross Country team rode in style to the Paul Metcalf Invitational Meet in Mountain Lake (Coach Sheppard's hometown!) on Friday. Both the Boys and Girls Varsity teams finished in second place!

Girls Varsity Volleyball played five matches at the Simley tournament last Saturday and were incredible to watch. 🏐 Come cheer them tomorrow night as they take on the International School of Minnesota at Eagle Ridge Academy! This year marks the thirteenth year in a row U.S. News & World Report has honored Eagle Ridge Academy. School of Rhetoric ninth graders got a head start on the year as they spent yesterday at school completing an interactive and energetic community-building retreat with Youth Frontiers! Thank you to Youth Frontiers, our School of Rhetoric team, and our amazing staff and student volunteers for helping our freshmen start high school strong. During this year's back-to-school workshop week, Eagle Ridge Academy faculty and staff built community by choosing and completing a service project together! Everyone was able to choose a project that was meaningful to them and, by working together, so much valuable work was completed in a short time.
Projects included writing cards for new students and volunteers, picking up trash around the outside of the building, organizing and sorting books and school supplies, creating motivational posters, helping our Custodial Manager Juan clean up the school, and more. We are so proud of the entire ERA team and grateful for their helping hands and smiles. See you next week, scholars! #GoGryphons
