Eagle Ridge Academy celebrated Minnesota School Bus Driver Appreciation Day earlier this week! 🚍 Fourth grade Student Senators Arohi, Lena, and Abhi passed out gift bags containing snacks, refreshments, goodies, and cards from students to our drivers after school and thanked them each individually for their service. Thank you to our Metropolitan Transportation Network, Inc. bus drivers (and "Bus Boss" Miss Jodie!) for their dedication to our students and their safety each and every morning and afternoon. A total of $1,789 was raised by the community during the Battle of the Coins fundraiser earlier this month! It's unbelievable how the ERA community rallied together help the PTO raise money for Staff Appreciation Week. Congratulations to 3rd grade, 5th grade, and 12th grade for leading their divisions and bringing in the most donations during the fundraiser. 🏆

Sane Lane Driving School will be conducting Driver's Education classes at Eagle Ridge Academy April 7-18, Monday-Friday, 3:15-6:15 p.m. Students ages 14.5 years and up may sign up for $420 - this includes the required 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours behind the wheel lessons.

Congratulations to ERA Mock Trial for qualifying for the State Tournament this past week! The team competed against and defeated Prior Lake's 2nd team, Wayzata's 1st and 2nd teams, Eden Prairie's 1st team, and Breck to qualify for State. State will take place March 6-7 at the United States District Court in St. Paul. Battle of the Coins begins Monday! During Battle of the Coins week, all grades compete to earn the most points and win a special reward. Coins will be collected at the fireplace in the Forum (School of Grammar) and outside the Auditorium (School of Logic & Rhetoric) Monday-Friday next week, 7:30-7:55 a.m. No coins can be dropped off in classrooms.
Bringing in pennies and dollar bills adds points to a grade's total and online donations count double (donate virtually through the PTO’s Venmo @Eagleridgeacademy-PTO- and be sure to label which grade the donation is for). Nickels, dimes, and quarters can subtract from another grade’s total.
Last year, kindergarten earned the most points and more than $1,400 was raised during Battle of the Coins! The PTO was truly overwhelmed by the giving spirit of our Gryphons.
