The national Merit Scholarship Corporation announced on September 9 that three Eagle Ridge Academy seniors have been named National Merit Semifinalists. This year, we offer congratulations to William Croson, Leonardo Gullekson, and Matthew Mou!

Students compete against over one million juniors across the country for the chance to qualify for a semifinalist position. These students were among the highest-scoring participants in Minnesota on the PSAT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test). These scores, along with their academic record, extracurricular activities, community services, leadership abilities, and awards received during their high school years, are all factored into the selection process. We are extremely proud of William, Leonardo, and Matthew for all they have accomplished at the Academy thus far and wish them luck in the next step in the scholarship process! These three will now compete against 16,000 other students for a chance to be awarded the National Merit Scholarship this coming spring.
