The Eagle Eye: 9/15/2022

Happy Thursday! Friday, September 16, is a Spirit Wear Day. On Spirit Wear Days, students K-12 can wear any spirit wear and uniform combinations.

This week’s Eagle Eye Newsletter is now available, and the main focus is on Classical education! The Eagle Eye is Eagle Ridge Academy’s translatable community newsletter that is published every other Thursday during the school year. It is a great resource to see important updates and learn what is happening around the school. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find in this week’s Eagle Eye:
  • Two Juniors Recognized by Classic Learning Test for their Performances on the CLT10 Assessment. Carter Anderson has been named a Classic Learning Test National Award Recipient and Gabriel Grabanski has been recognized as a Regional Scholar. Learn more about Classic Learning Test, the CLT10, and the significance of these honors inside the issue.
  • Introducing Classical Corner with K-12 Classical Coordinator Suzannah Toso. While many Eagle Ridge Academy families know Mrs. Toso as a kindergarten teacher, she has transitioned this year into the roles of K-2 Classical Enrichment teacher and K-12 Classical Coordinator. Learn more about the School of Grammar’s new Classical Enrichment course and what the role of Classical Coordinator means inside the issue.
  • RSVP for Classical Education Parent Night. Eagle Ridge Academy and local Classical schools are holding a Classical Education Parent Night on Wednesday, October 19, at the Airport Marriott Hotel. A presentation with featured speaker Dr. Anika Prather will follow a social hour with catered food. Learn more about Classical Education Parent Night and RSVP inside the issue.
