When your child receives a bus tag, their Silent Dismissal account will be authorized for that bus. However, bus service will not automatically begin until you update their daily mode of transportation from Pick-Up to Bus. This process ensures that you are in control of when your child starts riding the bus. Follow these steps to activate bus service for your child:

Log in to your Silent Dismissal account.
Access Edit Mode by locating the blue pencil icon in the Edit column to the far right of your child’s name.
- Check the Status and Today columns to confirm your child’s current transportation mode (e.g., Pick-Up).
Edit your Transportation Settings by clicking
the blue pencil icon. A new window will open with drop-down menus for each day of the week (Monday through Friday).
For each day, open the drop-down menu and select your child’s new transportation mode (e.g., Bus).
- Repeat this step for each day of the week. The selected mode will remain the default unless you override it for a specific day by 2:45 p.m.
Click the green Save button to confirm your updates.
Confirm that the Status and Today columns now reflect your child’s updated default mode of transportation (e.g., their assigned bus) to verify the change.
Repeat these steps for additional children if necessary.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Changes must be made by 2:35 p.m. to take effect for the same day. After this time, the Silent Dismissal system locks, and no further changes can be made.
Changes made using these steps will remain in effect until you update them again.
