Minnesota Department of Education recognizes Eagle Ridge Academy as a 2019 High Quality Charter School

Eagle Ridge Academy has been recognized by the Minnesota Department of Education as a High Quality Charter School for 2019. This is the sixth year Eagle Ridge has been honored. The school has received the award every year since 2014, which was the first year that the honor was given. The High Quality Charter School designation factors in fiscal responsibility, quality of management, overall test scores, and closing the achievement gap. This year, Eagle Ridge Academy is one of 29 schools to be recognized.

Eagle Ridge Academy is a free, public college-prep charter school based in Minnetonka that serves students in grades K-12. The school’s mission is to provide students with a traditional, Classical education that demands their best in academic achievement, behavior, and attitude and challenges them to attain their highest potential.

Eagle Ridge Academy was the first public charter school in the southwest suburban area specifically dedicated to offering a demanding college-preparatory, Classical, liberal-arts curriculum. Opened in 2004 with 108 students in grades 6, 7, and 9, the Academy now serves nearly 1,400 students in grades K-12.
