Scrip Fundraiser – Fundraising While You Shop!

Eagle Ridge Academy is pleased to share a new program with families. It’s called SCRIP — a fundraising program that works while you shop for everyday items. Do you shop at Target, Walmart, Kwik Trip, Sears, Home Depot, or Walgreens? Do you dine out? Do you use iTunes or drink coffee at Starbucks? Do you like the convenience of gift cards? Check this out. It’s an instant source of revenue for Eagle Ridge Academy.

Scrip fundraising is a no-selling program that allows families to raise money for their non-profit organization. Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks and/or credit cards.

You purchase gift cards from Scrip online at face value, and the retailer gives a percentage back to Eagle Ridge Academy. The difference is an instant rebate for Eagle Ridge Academy. It’s really that simple. See a list of participating retailers here.

When you use Scrip gift cards at your favorite retailers, you’re fundraising while you shop. Great Lakes Scrip Center offers more than 300 of the country’s biggest brands, including grocery, department stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, home improvement, and more. Just by using Scrip to pay for your normal weekly purchases, you can easily raise $500 or more per year. It’s time to put your shopping dollars to work!

There are two simple steps to sign up:

All online orders are approved by ERA, the order put in end of day Friday, and all cards ordered during that week are delivered back to the school the following week for families to pick up. There is no limit to what or how often you order. It’s a great way to shop.

Thank you to Lea B. Why does Eagle Ridge Academy need funding?

Eagle Ridge Academy (ERA) is funded through general education revenue from the state-based open enrollment, which every public school receives. We receive 10% through federal programs. Unlike traditional public schools, public charter schools do not have the option to increase revenue from taxpayers through bond or levy referendums, which means we receive 30% less per student than traditional public schools.

To sustain the Academy into future generations, provide critical equipment, enhance curriculum, update existing programming, make facility improvements, and offer a competitive compensation plan to our teachers and staff, we must raise funds to close the funding gap.

Funds are raised at Eagle Ridge Academy through several areas of outreach:

  • Events
  • Corporate Partnerships
  • Matching Gift Programs
  • Individual Giving
  • Employee Giving
  • Give to the Max
  • Major Gifts
  • Capital Campaigns and Year End Appeal
  • Grants
  • Sponsorships
  • Volunteer Match Programs
  • Miscellaneous programs such as SCRIP, AmazonSmile, Microsoft Rewards, etc.

The generosity of the community has raised nearly $900,000 to help fund:

Activities Van
Activities Field
Athletic Equipment and Uniforms
Baby Grand Piano
Family Support
Gryphon Garden

Library Books
Pep Band Sheet Music
Playground Equipment
Robotics Equipment
Student Scholarships
