2022-23 Free Dress Dates: October 14, December 16, April 14, May 19

Four times each year, students have the option to pay $5 in advance to wear what they choose (within ERA guidelines on appropriate attire) on Free Dress Days. Students may pay $6 on Free Dress Days if they choose not to pay in advance. The funds collected on Free Dress Days are designated for specific teacher projects.

The Free Dress Day funds for December 16 are designated for:

  • Second grade field trip to The Children’s Theatre
  • Seventh Grade Youth Frontiers Courage Retreat
  • Sixth and Eighth Grade field trip to Physics Force at the University of MN
  • Piano accompanist for grades 6-12 choir concert
  • New conductor’s podium for the auditorium
  • Training for New Family Welcome Program parent ambassadors

Free Dress Day Guidelines:

  • All shoes must have backs. Boots are permitted.
  • Long and short sleeve shirts are permitted. No strapless, spaghetti straps, or sleeveless tops are permitted.
  • Jeans are permitted; however, jeans with immodest rips in them are not.
  • Sweatpants are permitted. Leggings and yoga pants can only be worn with modest shirts, tunics, shorts, and skirts.
  • Any logos on clothing must be school appropriate.
  • Shirts are not to be tied back with elastic bands but may be untucked.
  • Heels should be no more than 1”. Skirt and shorts length should be modest, and no more than 2” above the knee.
  • Costumes and Halloween masks should not be worn.
  • No hats are permitted.
