Scrip Fundraiser – Fundraising While You Shop!

Scrip LogoEagle Ridge Academy is pleased to share a new program with families. It’s called Scrip — a fundraising program that works while you shop for everyday items. Do you shop at Target, Walmart, Kwik Trip, Sears, Home Depot, or Walgreens? Do you dine out? Do you use iTunes or drink coffee at Starbucks? Do you like the convenience of gift cards? Check this out. It’s an instant source of revenue for Eagle Ridge Academy.

Scrip fundraising is a no-selling program that allows families to raise money for their non-profit organization. Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks and/or credit cards.

You purchase gift cards from Scrip online at face value, and the retailer gives a percentage back to Eagle Ridge Academy. The difference is an instant rebate for Eagle Ridge Academy. It’s really that simple. See a list of participating retailers here.

When you use Scrip gift cards at your favorite retailers, you’re fundraising while you shop. Great Lakes Scrip Center offers more than 300 of the country’s biggest brands, including grocery, department stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, home improvement, and more. Just by using Scrip to pay for your normal weekly purchases, you can easily raise $500 or more per year. It’s time to put your shopping dollars to work!

There are two simple steps to sign up:

All online orders are approved by ERA, the order put in end of day Friday, and all cards ordered during that week are delivered back to the school the following week for families to pick up. There is no limit to what or how often you order. It’s a great way to shop.

Questions may be directed to Kelly Schiffman, Development Coordinator, 952-746-7760, ext. 145 or by email to kschiffman@eagleridgeacademy.org.

December 2015

Dearest Eagle Ridge Academy Families and Friends,

Imagine if our children could only read a small selection of reading materials. Imagine if they all formed thoughts and arguments the exact same way. What is fostered at Eagle Ridge Academy is to be independent thinkers and contributing members of society. We teach our students to form opinions, ask questions, and think logically about history, nature, morality, politics, religion, and happiness. From an early age, their young minds are considering what words mean. Words that fill books. Books that are filled with knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge that will stay with them for their entire lives.

What do books have to do with this letter? I am writing today to ask you to help build our library. We need to build a library collection in order to create magic, curiosity, and intrigue. We don’t just want just any books. We want the best books, customized to our students’ desires, dreams, and interests. In order to do this, we need financial support to purchase them.

We had a very successful fall Gala, profiting $19,000 for library books. Now, in order to meet our goal of $50,000, we want to build off this success and ask for the entire community’s help in reaching this vision. With the opening of our new building will come a new library, a desperately needed haven for knowledge and learning—something that Eagle Ridge Academy has never had the privilege of having. Our library will be a shell with shelves and tables. What’s missing is the books. In order to fill those shelves with awe-inspiring words, we need your help.

If each family gave $50 to our library fund, we would reach our goal of turning our dream library into a reality. Would you please consider supporting this important endeavor of Eagle Ridge Academy? If we all join together as a community, our Eagle Ridge Academy family, our library will open filled with words and wonder. Your donation is 100 percent tax-deductible and fully benefits the students. Please visit http://weblink.donorperfect.com/books2015 to make your gift online or use the enclosed envelope.

Thank you for making a difference with your generous spirit. Your support speaks volumes…of books!

With sincere gratitude and wishes for happy holidays,

Jason Ulbrich
Executive Director
